COAG Clinic provides consultation and follow-up in General Internal Medicine, including thrombosis and anticoagulation questions, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and other complex medical conditions.

Thrombosis & Anticoagulation

• Assessment and follow-up of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
• Anticoagulation selection, dosing, and monitoring (DOACs, warfarin, LMWH).
• Perioperative and periprocedural anticoagulation planning.
• Management of anticoagulation in complex comorbidities (renal disease, malignancy, frailty).
• Evaluation of recurrent thromboembolism and thrombophilia where appropriate.

Hypertension

• Assessment of suspected or confirmed hypertension, including resistant hypertension.
• Optimization of medication regimens and evaluation for secondary causes where indicated.
• Home and ambulatory blood pressure interpretation.

Dyslipidemia & Cardiovascular Risk

• Assessment of lipid disorders in primary and secondary prevention.
• Medication optimization and management of statin intolerance.
• Comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction in collaboration with primary care.
