COAG Clinic provides consultation and follow-up in General Internal Medicine, including thrombosis and anticoagulation questions, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and other complex medical conditions.
Thrombosis & Anticoagulation
- Assessment and follow-up of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
- Anticoagulation selection, dosing, and monitoring (DOACs, warfarin, LMWH).
- Perioperative and periprocedural anticoagulation planning.
- Management of anticoagulation in complex comorbidities (renal disease, malignancy, frailty).
- Evaluation of recurrent thromboembolism and thrombophilia where appropriate.
Hypertension
- Assessment of suspected or confirmed hypertension, including resistant hypertension.
- Optimization of medication regimens and evaluation for secondary causes where indicated.
- Home and ambulatory blood pressure interpretation.
Dyslipidemia & Cardiovascular Risk
- Assessment of lipid disorders in primary and secondary prevention.
- Medication optimization and management of statin intolerance.
- Comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction in collaboration with primary care.
